Secretary of State John Kerry traveled to Doha, New Delhi, Jeddah, Kuwait City, Amman, Jerusalem, Ramallah, Tel Aviv, and Bandar Seri Begawan from June 21 to July 2.

On June 22-23 in Doha, the Secretary met with senior Qatari officials to discuss bilateral and regional issues. The Secretary also participated in a meeting with the "London 11" foreign ministers to discuss the situation in Syria, including support to the Syrian opposition and efforts to advance a political solution.

From Doha, Secretary Kerry traveled to New Delhi, from June 23-25, where he chaired the interagency delegation to the fourth annual U.S.-India Strategic Dialogue. The Strategic Dialogue, inaugurated in 2009, is a forum for discussing the full range of U.S.-India cooperation on bilateral and regional issues, reflecting the strong strategic partnership between our countries. Topics for discussion included bilateral and regional economic engagement, regional security and defense, science and technology, climate change, and other global issues such as women’s empowerment, nonproliferation and space cooperation.

While in New Delhi, Secretary Kerry also opened the second annual U.S.-India Higher Education Dialogue, delivered a policy speech on bilateral and regional issues, and met with young leaders and innovators at an event highlighting U.S.-India cooperation on clean energy, climate change, science and technology, and poverty alleviation.

In Jeddah on June 25, Secretary Kerry participated in meetings with senior Saudi officials. They discussed a range of bilateral and regional issues.

In Kuwait City on June 26, Secretary Kerry met with senior Kuwaiti officials to discuss the range of bilateral and regional issues.

On June 27-30, Secretary Kerry was in Amman, Jerusalem, Ramallah, and Tel Aviv to hold meetings with Jordanian, Israeli, and Palestinian Authority officials on advancing Middle East peace.

Secretary Kerry traveled on June 30 to Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, where he participated in several annual regional conferences through July 2. Secretary Kerry co-chaired the ASEAN-U.S. Ministerial, Lower Mekong Initiative (LMI) Ministerial, and the Friends of the Lower Mekong Ministerial Meeting on July 1. On July 2, Secretary Kerry participated in the 20th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) and the 3rd East Asia Summit (EAS) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.

While in Brunei, Secretary Kerry participated in other bilateral meetings with Bruneian officials, including with the Sultan of Brunei, on the margins of the ASEAN-related events.
