NUMBERS

a. Work OrderThe work order
identification number refers to fiscal data consisting of four-digit allotment codes
and six-digit obligation numbers.
This is the control number for each requisition and/or other request for publishing services by and through A/GIS/GPS. The six-digit
obligation number identifies the accounting transaction and is assigned
by the allottee as prescribed in 4 FAH-1 H-100. The
first position of the obligation number is the last digit of the fiscal year. The
Form DS-5, Requisition for Publishing,
Reproduction, and Distribution Services, for printing services may show additional fiscal data classification codes.
b. Job Control NumberThe internal job control number is assigned by A/GIS/GPS to each Form
DS-5. The numbers are assigned 1 to 999999 and are preceded by the last 2 digits of each fiscal year, and are used for production and
quality control.

FOR PUBLISHING SERVICES FOR INPUT TO THE ACCOUNTING SYSTEM (GFMS)

a. Obligations for publishing
services under the Working Capital Fund (WCF) are established in the
following accounting classification code:
X91000Printing
Services, Form DS-5Object code 2488,
where "X" is the last digit of the fiscal year.
b. When it is determined by Global Publishing Solutions
that Work Orders under 4 FAH-1 H-922, paragraph a, are to be sent to the Government
Printing Office (GPO), all or part of the job, that portion to GPO is recorded
with object code 2488 under the same
obligation number.
c. Work orders sent to commercial printing firms are
treated in the same manner, and recoded under the same obligation number with
object code 2488.
d. The first position of
the obligation number is the last digit of the fiscal year.
