The United States strongly supports you in this effort and looks forward to working closely with your new leaders as they strive to improve governance, provide security, and create enhanced economic opportunities for your people.

On this special day, as Burkina Faso begins a new chapter in its history, you should know that the United States values its friendship with you and that all Americans wish you well.
