3 FAM 3112 SENIOR FOREIGN SERVICE PAY
CAP

(Applies to Foreign Service Personnel Only)
For members of the Senior Foreign Service (SFS), the total
sum of basic salary, performance pay (including both Department and
Presidential awards) and physicians comparability allowance (PCA) cannot
exceed the salary payable for Level I of the Executive Schedule (EX-1) for a
fiscal year. Any amount that cannot be paid in a fiscal year, due to this
limitation, will be carried over to the next fiscal year and granted as a
lump-sum payment at the beginning of that next fiscal year.

The total sum of the basic salary, charge d affaires ad
interim pay, and post differential cannot exceed the salary payable for Level
II of the Executive Schedule (EX-II) in a calendar year.
