PRIME MINISTER ORBAN (In Hungarian): Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Our task today is to hold a press conference which is even shorter than a short press conference. The State Secretary has to leave in a hurry for his State program. I am very happy to have the occasion to meet the Secretary of State. I think we have touched on issues mutually important for both countries. We are extremely happy to note that in strategic issues there is a full common understanding between us. On the one hand, the relationship between the United States of America and a Europe in the process of unification, the future of the Central European and the Balkan region. We have every hope that we are going to maintain an excellent contact relationship with the new US administration. SECRETARY POWELL: Thank you very much, Mr. Prime Minister. Let me begin by expressing my thanks for the hospitality that you and the Hungarian Government have shown to this NAC meeting. I agree with you, sir, that our bilateral relations are very, very strong. I can assure you that under the Bush Administration that relationship will grow deeper and stronger. As you, Prime Minister, noted, we did cover a number of regional issues and our views are pretty much in common. The bilateral issues between our two nations are rather minor and we are on good footing with one another. So I am just pleased to have had the opportunities to pay my respects to the Prime Minister and I look forward to seeing him again in another opportunity in the not too distant future. Thank you very much.
