The Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs coordinates strategic planning for public affairs activities that will advance the foreign policy goals of the U.S. Government.
10 FAM 121.2 Scope
a. This policy applies to all officers engaged in public affairs activities who work with Bureau of Public Affairs personnel to design and implement coordinated public affairs strategies.
b. All communications or inquiries going to the White House Press Secretary or the White House Press Secretarys staff are subject to the 10 FAM 100 regulations and procedures.
