These are the templates (or Document Shells) used to convert Forms TO (or into) File Outputs. Centralpoint utilizes MS/Word files as the most used template, which can then be set (within the Forms Processing) to convert to PDF or Word. Excel will convert to Excel, and Powerpoint may convert to Powerpoint. So, think of the templates as containing the overall design, and global elements of whatever records are being created, and the 'content' entered as populating those shells.

FYI- The Latin term 'Continens' translates to 'Container', meaning the vase or holder of the content, not the contents. This distinction helps to define what "Document Templates" or Document Shells are. They are the container or vase of contents which can change regularly.
