Mission Activity Tracker (MAT) is a Web-based database that serves as a repository of public diplomacy activities and accomplishments. Entries consist of concise paragraphs that focus on the impact of a given program or activity. Entries can be made by field posts or by Washington, DC offices. Reports can be generated using keyword searches, as well as searches by country or region, by type of program or activity, or by date. IIP/PL manages MAT.

10 FAM 372 Evaluation

IIP/PL is the lead IIP office for evaluating the programs, products, and activities of the bureau. Evaluations are conducted with reference to the Bureau Performance Plan (BPP), the Government Performance and Results Modernization Act of 2010, the Presidents Management Agenda (PMA), and the Office of Management and Budgets Program Assessment Rating Tool (PART). IIP/PL also establishes and employs other evaluation metrics, standards, and criteria that are relevant to the conduct of public diplomacy. The office coordinates its evaluation work with the Office of Resources and Planning in the Office of the Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs (R/PPR) and liaises with its counterpart office in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA/P).
