Secretary Kerry traveled to Europe and the Middle East from October 21 to October 25.
On October 21, Secretary of State John Kerry departed for travel to Berlin, Vienna, Amman, and Riyadh.
In Berlin, Germany, Secretary Kerry held a bilateral meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the ongoing violence in Israel, Jerusalem, and the West Bank as well as regional security issues. While in Berlin, the Secretary also met with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and EU High Representative Federica Mogherini to discuss a range of global issues including the situation in Israel, Jerusalem, and the West Bank, the refugee and migration issues in Europe, and Iran.
The Secretary then traveled to Vienna, Austria, where he will meet with Turkish, Russian, and Saudi counterparts to discuss a range of global issues including the ongoing crisis in Syria.
Secretary Kerry also visited Amman, Jordan, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he met with regional leaders to discuss a range of bilateral and global issues.
