13 FAH-1 H-881 Conditions for Removal

a. If an employee does not enroll in, and successfully complete, the minimum course hours or maintain the minimum grade point average (GPA), the Executive Director must remove the employee from the program (13 FAM 817). Employees who are removed from the program may continue to pursue a degree at their own expense and on their own time.

b. The bureau shall notify the employee in writing when he or she is being removed from the program. The notice shall include the reason(s) for removal, as well as the procedures for appealing the action in accordance with Department grievance procedures. Copies of the notification shall be provided to FSI External Training and maintained in the program files.
