Remarks

Thank you very much. I have the honor and delight of proposing a toast. And I think it is only fitting that we raise our glasses and that we toast our hosts, the Government of Kenya and all who have worked to make this forum so successful; that we toast the ingredients that go into making countries successful in growing their economies and creating more opportunity for their people; that we toast to the partnership and friendship between the United States and the countries represented here, and indeed, the entire African continent; that we toast to a future that we can envision, but which we must take responsibility for creating on behalf of our children.

So let us toast to Africa, growth, and opportunities. May God bless Africa. (Applause.)
