SOCIAL MEDIA: PRC MFA Urges US to Fulfill International Obligations

@MFA_China:  The US accused Operation Fox Hunt of harassing, stalking, and coercing US residents. The truth is fighting cross-border crimes, repatriating corrupt fugitives and recovering illegal proceeds is a just cause widely recognized by the international community.  The Chinese law enforcement authorities have been observing international law, respecting other countries’ domestic laws and judicial sovereignty, and guaranteeing the legitimate rights and interests of criminal suspects.  We urge the US to faithfully fulfill its international obligations under the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and the UN Convention against Corruption, and DO NOT become a safe haven for criminals.  (https://twitter.com/MFA_China/status/1321824270364811264?s=20 @ 10/29/20 1040 ET)
